Ibadah Trinitarian: Definisi, Implikasi, dan Aplikasi

Pada hakikatnya, ibadah kristiani adalah ibadah yang bersifat trinitarian. Artinya, ibadah berdasarkan karya Allah Tritunggal. Penulis merumuskan ibadah trinitarian sebagai ibadah yang ditujukan untuk kemuliaan Bapa dan hanya dimungkinkan melalui karya Kristus yang diterapkan oleh Roh Kudus dalam diri orang-orang percaya. Bapa surgawi menjadi tujuan ultima dari seluruh penyembahan korporat karena Dia adalah sumber dari segalanya. Karya Kristus sebagai Imam menghantar serta menyempurnakan ibadah kita di hadapan Bapa. Kita dapat menerima dan mengalami manfaat karya Kristus karena pekerjaan Roh Kudus. Dua implikasi penting lahir dari ibadah trinitarian, yaitu berpusat pada Kristus (christological) dan menekankan hubungan yang penuh kasih di antara sesama umat Tuhan (relational). Kristus menjadi fokus ibadah karena Dia merupakan perwujudan terbaik dan puncak karya penebusan dari Allah Tritunggal atas dunia ini. Sedangkan, kasih dalam Tubuh Kristus menjadi cerminan yang sepatutnya dari hubungan internal dari Allah Tritunggal.
