Satu tema utama di dalam Injil Matius adalah kerajaan Allah dan kebenaran-Nya. Banyak yang telah membahasnya dan berusaha untuk mengusulkan arti yang representatif dari tema penting ini. Artikel ini sekali lagi akan menguji tema ini dalam perikop yang spesifik dan konteks historisnya. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk menunjukkan bahwa arti dari kerajaan Allah dan kebenaran-Nya ketika dipahami dalam konteks historis dari teksnya bisa berbeda dari pengertian yang selama ini diterima secara umum. Maka artikel ini dapat memberikan kontribusi kepada pemahaman yang lebih jauh dari tema penting ini.
